Capital Advisory Services

Our capital advisory services span the spectrum of finance including startup and early stage ventures looking for seed capital to emerging and later-stage companies seeking out institutional, venture capital, or private equity rounds of financing.  Our network of investors can fund a variety of projects trusting in our ability to structure and present offerings that are tailored to meet their investment objectives as well those in line with the interests of entrepreneurs.

A typical engagement includes JCF as Interim CFO or CFO Advisor to the venture raising capital including the development of a targeted capital raise campaign:

  1. JCF Review of Financing Proposal: JCF reviews existing 2-page executive summary, business plan, and presentation materials to determine the feasibility of funding based on materials as presented.
  2. Investor Network Identification: If existing documentation does not require material modifications or improvements, JCF researches and identifies the angel groups, angel investors, venture capital firms, and other sources within our database whose investment criteria aligns with the business model presented and capital requested. JCF will then indicate how many investors, firms, and other capital source contacts we have identified. JCF then ranks and prioritizes this target list of contacts to source and present the financing request. After JCF has identified and prioritized the number of capital sources within our network that will accept and review submission of the financing proposal, you will be able to elect how many sources you would like to submit to.  Our pricing is adjusted and scalable based on the number of sources selected.
  3. Investor Network Submission:Once engaged, JCF will provide you with a comprehensive list of every investor, angel group, venture firm, and other capital source JCF has submitted your financing request to. Our targeting campaign includes email, fax, regular mail, and phone contact.
  4. Investor Network Follow-up: After JCF has submitted your financing request to these investment sources, an associate will follow-up diligently for a period of up to three to six months to make a strong effort to ensure that the appropriate individual or committee has or will review your plan or to confirm that angel networks have forwarded all materials to the appropriate angel investors in their network and considered it for periodic meetings. Our associate will be available to discuss your business model with investors and will refer all interested investment parties to our President & CEO as well as the entrepreneur to discuss your business model on a more thorough and sophisticated basis. Ultimately, JCF will work to schedule a meeting between the investment party and your team, or will put the investor directly in contact with your team.
Financial Consulting Services

Our financial consulting services include front-end financial forecasting, transactional mergers and acquisitions support, valuations, break-even and IRR or return analysis, private placement and business plan support along with back-end accounting and tax reporting.

The scope may include the preparation and review of projections, budgets, acquisition, purchase, and sale agreements, loan proposals, use of funds, business plans support, valuation models, private placement support, deal structuring, financial statements, and tax returns.

Business Consulting Services

Our business consulting services include executive summary, business plan, presentation and deal support.

The scope may include preparation and review of the various elements within an executive summary and business plan to present to investors and shore up any identifiable weaknesses such as pricing analysis, competitive analysis, exit and M&A comparable valuations, marketing and team analysis.

Additionally, these services may include deal negotiation and support to close with investors.
